ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan lauded the Pakistan Navy for the successful test firing of indigenously-developed submarine-launched cruise missile (SLCM) Babur which had a range of 450 kilometres.
He said that Babur missile provided Pakistan credible second strike capability and reinforced Pakistan’s policy of minimum deterrence through indigenisation and self-reliance.
SLCM Babur was capable of delivering various types of payloads and incorporated state of the art technologies, including controlled underwater propulsion, enhance guidance and navigation features.
