LAHORE: Punjab Wildlife Secretary Mian Waheeduddin has said that the provincial government will establish four new zoos besides renovating the existing zoos across the province.
The provincial secretary for wildlife stated this while chairing a departmental meeting on Thursday.
Mian Waheedudding said that the four new zoos would be established in Multan, Sargodha, Bhakkar and Joharabad.
He said that the renovation and remodelling of Bahawalpur zoo is in progress while renovation work on others would be initiated soon.
He said that establishing new zoos and renovating the existing, was aimed at providing entertainment opportunities to citizens especially children and to learn about the various species of animal and birds present there.
