ISLAMABAD: A fire has erupted in Islamabad’s Margalla Hills area which has spread across an area of one kilometre, media reports say.
Fire department officials reached the spot and efforts are underway to extinguish the fire, which might spread across a larger area.
Unfortunately, fire at the Margalla hills has become an annual feature which occurs in the summer season due to the presence of flammable bushes. It not only mars the natural beauty but also harms wildlife and speaks volume of incompetency and slackness of the CDA to take measures to overcome such recurrence.
