‘Baahubali’ director SS Rajamouli, veteran actor Nandita Das to visit Pakistan for PIFF

MUMBAI: Director and screenwriter of blockbuster Indian movie Baahubali, SS Rajamouli and acclaimed Indian film-maker and actor Nandita Das will visit Pakistan to attend Pakistan International Film Festival (PIFF) which will start on March 29 and continue until April 1.

SS Rajamouli shared the news on his Twitter account writing: “Baahubali has given me opportunities to travel to a number of countries… The most exciting of them all is now, Pakistan. Thank you Pakistan international film festival, Karachi for the invite.”

The second part of his film Baahubali: The Conclusion was played across 100 theatre screens in Pakistan last year.

Both parts of the movie were shown across the world in different movie festivals including  L’Etrange International Film Festival in Paris, Moscow Film Festival and Golden Horse Film Festival in Taiwan.

The four-day international film festival will screen short, feature films and documentaries from Pakistan and across the world.

Different Indian movies including Alia Bhatt and Shahrukh Khan’s Dear Zindagi, Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar’s Hindi Medium, Sanjay Mishra’s Kadvi Hawa, Swara Bhasker’s Nil Battey Sannata and Marathi movie Sairat will also be screened at the festival.
