ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah said on Tuesday that Asif Ali Zardari rushed to Lahore to save Nawaz Sharif but Nawaz Sharif rushed to Supreme Court (SC) against Zardari.
Addressing a press conference, he said that Nawaz had admitted that wearing a black coat on the directions of others was a mistake but PPP had not taken any revenge.
“We believe in the politics of issues, rather abusing each other. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was not expected to be the part of such politics. He assumed that the Senate chairman was his opponent and gave a statement against him, which is condemnable,” Khursheed said.
“The appointment of the caretaker prime minister is the responsibility of the opposition leader and the leader in the house, regarding which I will consult with my party,” he said.
“Nawaz Sharif is not satisfied with the performance of his government and if that is the case then how can the public be satisfied on the performance of the present government,” Khursheed said.
He also said that the electronic media was playing a negative role since fights were staged in talk shows just to get better ratings.
