ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has approved a six-member screening committee to shortlist the candidates for the appointment of the chairman of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).
According to a notification issued here on Tuesday by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the committee has also been mandated to prepare a pool for the selection committee for the appointment of the PEMRA head.
The committee headed by information secretary included additional secretary of the Establishment Division, additional secretary of the Finance Division and PEMRA executive member, joint secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, while director general of the Ministry of Information will be the secretary of the committee.
