ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Monday said that the nation had full confidence in the defence capabilities of the armed forces, adding that the forces are fully prepared to neutralise and defeat any and all forms of threats to the country.
Upon arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Rawalpindi, PM Abbasi was welcomed by Joint Chief of Staff Committee Chairman General Zubair Mahmood Hayat and was presented with a guard of honour.
PM Abbasi was briefed on the operational preparedness of the armed forces and other important aspects of Pakistan’s defence mechanism.
On the occasion, the prime minister paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of the armed forces and assured that the nation will continue to provide all necessary resources to meet defence requirements of Pakistan.
