LAHORE: The police on Tuesday filed a murder case against several doctors, security guards and staffers after an altercation between hospital guards and the family of a patient at the Services Hospital left one attendant dead and another injured.

Several doctors, security guards, ward boys and the hospital administration were held responsible for the murder in the First Information Report (FIR).

According to reports, harsh words were exchanged between a lady doctor and the family of a patient named Kiran. After the heated argument, hospital’s security guards alongside young doctors and administrative staff and the patient’s brother Sunil got into an ugly scuffle in which Sunil and a hospital guard, Nawaz, sustained injuries.

Several video clips, which went viral on the social media, captured an intense fight between the victim’s family members and the security guards as well as staff members of the hospital.

Sunil, who was a Motorway Police constable, later succumbed to his wounds, while Nawaz’s condition was reported as critical.
