Woman among three held in Peshawar murder case

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Capital City Police (CCP) resolved a blind murder case and arrested three culprits including a woman here on Monday.

A car lifter was also nabbed with a stolen vehicle.

According to details, on the night of March 23 at about 10:00pm, Imtiaz, 32, a resident of Landi Arbab, Peshawar, received a call on his mobile and was asked to come to a mosque near his neighbourhood. He reached the destination on his motorcycle and after few minutes, the neighbours informed that Imtiaz was lying in a pool of blood.

He had died before could be shifted to hospital.

CCPO Muhammad Tahir Khan, taking notice of the incident, directed for investigation and under the supervision of SSP (Operations) Javed Iqbal and comprising SP City Shehzad Kaukab, DSP Fazal Wahid Khan, SHO Bhana Mari Ijaz Nabi, the police contingent conducted the investigation into the incident on scientific basis.

The police arrested three culprits including Reema Khan daughter of Imtiaz, Abid son of Haji Muhammad Khan, and Siar Khan son of Nawab Khan for their involvement in the murder.

Furthermore, the police arrested an Afghan national identified as Asifullah, son of Adeebullah, for car lifting and recovered a stolen car bearing registration number LE-1434 during a raid in jurisdiction of Agha Mir Jani Shah police station.

Separate cases into both incidents were registered at police stations concerned and investigation is underway.
