ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Sunday congratulated the Islamabad United team on clinching the trophy of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018.
The prime minister also appreciated the runner-up Peshawar Zalmi for showing a great game in the tournament.
He said that the successful final of PSL in Karachi was a victory for the entire nation.
PM Abbasi felicitated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on their successful arrangement of the PSL 2018. He also extended his heartfelt congratulations to all the players and teams who participated enthusiastically playing throughout the tournament.
He said that the event offered an excellent opportunity to the cricket fans to witness the ultimate cricket experience across Pakistan. ”The enthusiasm and excitement of cricket fans at National Stadium in Karachi was indeed commendable,” the premier said.
He also expressed gratitude to the international players who led the PSL to a magnificent outcome through their participation and extra-ordinary performances.
The premier lauded the role of Pakistan Army, police, and Sindh government for managing the Karachi final smoothly.
Lastly, he appreciated the efforts PCB Chairman Najam Sethi.
