MANSEHRA: Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting, National History and Literary Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Monday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was jealous of Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif, adding that it had made the former a mentally sick person.
She made the remarks while talking to media in Mansehra, saying, “Jealousy against Shehbaz Sharif has made Imran Khan mentally sick, especially the power projects installed by the former at Sahiwal, Baloki, Havelian, Bahadur Shah and Bhikki.”
The state minister added that Shehbaz Sharif had served the masses and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) also needed a chief minister like him.
Recounting the development work carried out in Punjab, she said that 36 district hospitals were uplifted and modernised in the period, adding that if Imran could find some time from his obsession with the lies then he should visit any hospital including those in Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Shahdara, Lahore and elsewhere.
She observed that perhaps Imran could be feeling shame by witnessing the metro bus and orange line projects in Punjab, and the developed infrastructure.
Marriyum criticised the provincial government of KP over reducing the role of Ehtesab Commission. “How could a person who stole the Senate elections know what serving the people meant?” she asked.
