Govt promotes 49 officers to deputy superintendent of police

ISLAMABAD: The Punjab Government on Monday promoted 49 inspectors including two female officers to the rank of deputy superintendent of police (DSP).

According to the notification, a copy of which is available with Pakistan Today, Humaira Tabassum and Shehnaz Parveen are amongst the 49 officers who were promoted. Other officers include Athar Majeed Bhatti, Safdar Iqbal, Parvez Hussain Butt, Falak Sher, Azmat Ullah, Muhammad Ghias, Muhammad Aslam, Sabir Hussain, Sarfraz Ahmed and 38 others.

The officers were promoted on the recommendation of the Departmental Promotional Committee (DPC) of the Punjab Police Department.

Punjab Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Shahzada Sultan, an officer of Police Services of Pakistan (PSP) issued the notification stating, “Inspectors and deputy superintendent of police of the General Executive Branch are hereby promoted with immediate effect to the rank of deputy superintendent of police (DSP) (BS-17) on regular basis.”
