KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi on Saturday offered Imran Khan to come to Karachi and watch the final game of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018.

In an interview, Sethi said, “Will personally receive Imran if he comes to watch PSL final.”

Apart from sending him an invitation for the final showdown between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, Sethi said that he would personally receive him.

Talking about his rough ties with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, he stated that he wanted him to apologise over the allegations of corrupt practices.

“I wanted Imran to apologise for levelling allegations on me pertaining to the election results…he is yet to do so,” he said.

Sethi apologised for not extending an invitation to Jamiat Ulema-e Islam-F leader Fazlur Rehman and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Siraj-ul-Haq.

Last year, Sethi claimed to have invited Imran four times but all in vain. He said, “I am ready to give him a red carpet reception even now if he comes to watch the final between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi at Gaddafi Stadium. Now it’s up to him whether he wants to come or not.”
