LARKANA: Sindh Gazetted Officers Associations of School Administration Central Vice President Manzoor Ahmed Mangi on Sunday said that there were no Taluka Education Officers (TEOs) for primary and secondary schools in the entire province.

He said that over 400 posts, each of basic pay scale (BPS) 17, were vacant. He also said that due to the non-posting of TEOs, it was vividly clear that mismanagement was at its peak in the school management department and only higher education officials were responsible for that.

He said that due to the upcoming general elections, rulers were posting primary teachers and subject specialists as TEOs illegally against the standing orders of the apex court and were directing them to look-after the charge addition to their own duties. The concerned government authorities should take notice of that, he added.

He said that the education system was being destroyed in a planned manner in Sindh. He said that Sindh education minister and chief minister were tight lipped in this matter and had been claiming that the standard of education would be raised at all costs but the lack of consideration from the government would only ruin the already damaged system. He demanded that proper postings be made without loss of further time to save the future of the children of Sindh.
