NAROWAL: Federal Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal said that the government had established a strong basis to bring about a revolution in the education, energy and economic sectors by making radical changes.
Addressing the annual prize distribution ceremony of Government Muslim Postgraduate College for Women in Narowal on Saturday night, the minister said that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had focused on the promotion of quality education in science, technology and life sciences across the country.
He added that the government had already taken effective initiatives to establish universities at the district level to provide quality education for students at the local level.
Ahsan Iqbal said the PML-N government had opened the doors of quality education for everyone, apart from ensuring an easy access for the students to acquire quality education.
He urged the teachers to focus on the character building of students as “they are the future of the nation”.
He announced that the government would bring early dualisation of the Narowal-Lahore Road, saying that the project would reduce the traveling distance between the two districts by only 45 minutes.
Meanwhile, during his Narowal visit, the minister also visited several stalls set up at the Faiz Park. He overviewed the ongoing three-day Jashan-e-Baharaan Festival in the city.
