Balochistan’s resources should be utilised for its development: minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister for SAFRON Lt Gen (r) Abdul Qadir Baloch said that Balochistan’s resources should be utilised for the development and prosperity of the province.

While talking to a private news channel, he said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government and valiant armed forces of the country had almost restored peace in the province.

The minister said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project should also be utilised for the betterment and economic stability of the province besides the country as the mega project would bring economic revolution in the region.

He said that the provinces were massively empowered through 18th constitutional amendment and National Finance Commission Award but more focus should be given to Balochistan in that regard.

Responding to a question, he said that the continuity of democratic process was essential to take the country to the new heights of progress and prosperity.
