TAXILA: Wah Saddar police on Friday arrested a fake spiritual healer for attempting to assault a woman.
The woman, a resident of Rawalpindi, told police that she along with her sister visited Liaquat Hussain Shah at Qaziabad to get spiritual guidance to overcome her family problems.
She said the accused first took 11 tola gold from her and then took her to a room and tried to assault her. She said as she voiced alarm, her sister came and rescued her.
The police registered a case against the man and arrested him.
Meanwhile, Attock police claimed to have arrested a man on the charge of killing his mother-in-law.
The police said Nisar Jamal had allegedly killed his mother-in-law a few months ago in Ijra and gone underground. The murder weapon was also recovered from the suspect.
