Police raids lead to arrest of six criminals in Karachi’s PIB area

KARACHI: Six criminals have been arrested after a raid was conducted in the Pir Illahi Bux (PIB) Colony area of Karachi. FIRs (First Information Report) have been registered against all six individuals who were on three motorbikes. Their names are Abdullah Aslam, Abdullah Khan, Naveed Hussain, Kashif Shamoon, Umair Ahmed and Waseem Arif. The Police have seized property from the accused under Section 550 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

All six possessed drugs and alcohol at the time of arrest and have a history of alleged criminal activity. One man, Abdullah Aslam, also possessed a firearm.

A Rangers spokesperson said that 20 suspects were arrested during a targeted raid in the city on March 21, one of whom, Imran Ali alias Sahib was a member of MQM (Muhajir Qaumi Movement) -Haqiqi group.

In addition, a man called Safir Ahmed, who was the member of a Lyari gang involved in extortion, robberies and street crimes, was arrested from the Baldia Town area.
