ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Friday refuted a video of an apparent PIA plane making an emergency landing while being on fire.
The airline said, “No emergency landing has taken place anywhere.”
In a tweet, the PIA spokesperson said, “Animated video of an old PIA plane (not in use) caught with fire circulating in media is fake.”

Disapproving the footage, the airline stated, “We strongly condemn this malicious and criminal act to defame the Pakistan International Airlines and Pakistan.”
The video was first shared on social media. Reacting to the video, a number of people criticised the PIA over its inadequate service.
