KARACHI: A viral video on social media shows a man claiming to be famed televangelist Amir Liaquat chastising police officials, part of a protocol entourage, for causing a nuisance for the general public, according to Samaa TV.
The video which has garnered a large number of views, shows a man astride a motorbike, wearing a helmet indulging in a verbal spat with a police officer in what appears to be traffic jam caused by a VIP protocol.
The man identifies himself as Amir Liaquat to the police officers and shouts, “Do you know who I am? I am Aamir Liaquat Hussain”. The man further goes on to castigate the officials for holding up the traffic and states, “Shame on you.”

Earlier on March 19, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan welcomed former member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Amir Liaquat into his party.
However, many of Amir Liaquat’s new party compadres seem to be less than happy about his inclusion in their ranks and have been vocal in their expression. Former Junoon-band singer Salman Ahmed even described Amir Liaquat as a “sleazy, slithering snake”.
