In the coming days, Balochistan will witness intense political maneuvering as important political personalities are reportedly considering uniting under the banner of a new political party, according to a private television channel.
Sources close to the development said that the new party would include the names of important politicians from the province.
A provincial assembly legislator requesting anonymity said, “We would announce the launching of our own political party soon.”
The sources said that big political names of the province who would most likely join the party included, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Jan Muhammad Jamali, Sardar Saleh Bhootani, Sarfaraz Bugti, Mir Abdul Kareem Nowsherwani, Jam Kamal, Mir Amanullah Notezai, Mir Ghulam Dastagir Badini, Mir Asim Kurd Gailo and other notables.
The sources further revealed that these notables also met several times at the residence of former Senator Saeed Ahmed Hashmi to reach a decision in connection with forming a political party.
Hashmi later confirmed the decision to form a political party in Balochistan. “Presently, we are working to finalise the constitution and manifesto of the new party,” he added.
It was also revealed by another source that Jan Muhammad Jamali would most likely be given the task to lead the new party.
