WAPDA reveals details of river inflows, outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma

LAHORE: The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) on Thursday revealed the details of river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and barrages.

According to the statement, both the inflows and outflows of the River Indus at Tarbela are 17000 cusecs, both of Kabul at Nowshera are 7500 cusecs, inflows of Jhelum at Mangla are 12500 cusecs while the outflows are 13700 cusecs.

Inflows of Chenab at Marala are 7200 cusecs and the outflows according to the report are 2000 cusecs. While Jinnah Barrage’s inflows are 32300 cusecs and outflows are 30300 cusecs, Chashma’s inflows are 24900 cusecs and outflows 23000 cusecs, Taunsa’s inflows are 23200 cusecs and outflows are 21200 cusecs.

Moreover, Panjnad inflows are 200 cusecs and outflows are nil cusecs, Guddu’s inflows are 16000 cusecs and the outflows are 13100 cusecs, Sukkur’s inflows are 13100 cusecs and outflows are 4300 cusecs, and while Kotri’s inflows are 3000 cusecs, the outflows are zero cusecs.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla had been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows had been gauged at 6 am.
