LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira on Thursday expressed a deep sense of grief over the demise of PPP Minority Wing leader Naveed Alam Meshiah, who passed away on Wednesday night.
Following Naveed Alams’ burial on Thursday, Kaira in his condolence message said that the former was the party’s representative from Youhanabad, and was a literary person. He said the late PPP leader, who worked with former prime ministers Benazir and Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, would always be remembered and his services to the party would not be forgotten.
Separately, the PPP leadership on Thursday decided to observe Pakistan Day in a befitting manner. In this regard, Kaira directed the local leadership to organise functions and seminars at the PPP divisional headquarters and celebrate the event in a zealous way.
