GUJRANWALA: The dead body of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Sohail Tipu was found at his home on Thursday.
The initial investigation report suggested suicide as the cause of the death but it is not completely confirmed yet. His body was found hanging with fan at his residence.
His hands, however, were tied from the back which caught the attention of police. Further investigation is underway.
While talking to media, Assistant Medical Superintendent (AMS) District Headquarters stated that upon request of Commissioner when the medical team reached the DC House, it found the dead body hanging from the fan. “We informed the commissioner about legalities of post-mortem before shifting the body to the hospital,” he added.
Tipu was appointed as deputy commissioner in Gujranwala on December 11, 2017. He has three daughters and one son, who resides in Lahore.
