PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter on Thursday formed a four-member committee to probe into the alleged corruption in the Billion Tree Tsunami (BTT) project.

The committee will comprise a legal consultant and two investigation officers who will acquire all the record of the project from the Forest Department.

The committee headed by a grade-19 officer has initiated a consultation to begin probe against the former KP chief secretary and two additional chief secretaries.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is claiming to sow more than one billion plants in the province.

All the opposition parties had accused the mega project of irregularities and corruption, after which NAB chairman Javed Iqbal had directed to probe the allegations.
