KARACHI: The organising committee of the 17th Sindh Games, scheduled to be held in Karachi from March 28 to 31, has postponed the event owing to the arrangements of Pakistan Super League (PSL) final in the provincial capital and the upcoming T20I series against West Indies.
The Sindh Games will now be held from April 19 to 22.
Many of the different sports’ events were scheduled to be held at National Coaching Center, adjacent to National Stadium, the venue of PSL final set to be held on March 25. Another three-match T20 series against West Indies is scheduled from April 1 to 4.
The National Coaching Center has been made unavailable for the scheduled games due to security concerns.
According to a media release disseminated by the organisers, matric examinations would also be starting from March 31, which has also been taken into consideration before announcing the new dates.
Sindh Games’ organisers will soon be revealing a mascot for the Sindh Games and will also display it at different places of the city, including roundabouts.
