Pakistan Army’s helicopter helps dry outfield ahead of second PSL eliminator

LAHORE: Interesting scenes were witnessed at the Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium when a helicopter of the Pakistan Army was seen midair to help dry outfield ahead of the second eliminator of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Showers on Wednesday added to the woes for fans who came to watch the much-awaited encounter between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings, the second last game of the PSL 2018. The outfield had become wet due to rain and the situation wasn’t improving until an unusual thing happened.

Pakistan Army’s helicopter entered the stadium and remained midair to blow away the wetness in outfield and pitch. A video of the incident quickly went viral on the social media where people expressed their surprise.

Meanwhile, Pacer Mohammad Amir will lead Karachi in the match against Peshawar while both Imad Wasim and Shahid Afridi will miss the game due to their injuries. Mukhtar Ahmed, Zulfiqar Babar and Danish Aziz have joined the Karachi Kings squad, according to the team management.
