SaH and BPC celebrate late Sadiq Faqeer’s 54th birthday

BADIN: Shamsher-al-Hyderi  (SaH) academy and Badin Press Club (BPC) celebrated the 54th birthday of renowned and ever-popular artist late Sadiq Faqeer on Tuesday at BPC conference hall.

A huge number of intellectuals, literary persons, citizens, journalists, poets and people from other walks were also present on the occasion including BPC President Tanveer Ahmed Arain, prominent poets Hafiz Nizamani, Naqash Alwani, Mir Buledi, Moosa Jokhio, Khadim Talpur and others.

They said Faqeer was like an ambassador of Sindhi culture and Sindhi language and he introduced moving tune of Sindhi songs abroad. They said late Sadiq Faqeer laid the foundation stone of school thought of music and musicians and eliminated cassette culture.

They said apart from this, he was a well-known philanthropist, sincere, well-wisher and friendly to each and every one. Moreover, they said, he was a man of determination who always loved the soil till last breath. The event was also attended by Nazakat Faqeer,  son of late Sadiq Faqeer who sing beautiful songs of his late father.
