ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting State Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has stressed on the need to make differently abled persons useful citizens of the country.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Tuesday, she said that parents have a key role in making those who are differently abled a useful member of society. She said that it is also the society’s responsibility to accept everyone irrespective of the extent of their capabilities.
The minister said that differently abled children should be given special and extra focus in syllabus taught at educational institutions.
Marriyum urged the media to play its due role in creating awareness among the masses regarding their responsibilities towards differently abled people.
She thanked the donor agencies for giving special attention to such children.
