Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani on Monday said that Nawaz Sharif is a leader of the country, let him say what he is saying. ‘We were six independent members and senators from PPP, PTI, MQM and FATA voted for us and made us victorious with majority. Asif Zardari and Imran Khan took a good decision for Senate chairmanship and he was elected chairman.

Sanjrani was talking to the media at Sanjrani House, Killi Daudabad. Dalbandin is about 250 km south of Quetta along Quetta-Taftan section of RCD highway.

He was accorded a warm welcome by PPP and PTI workers and people of the area upon arrival in Dalbandin from Quetta by special plane. He drove to Sanjrani House in a procession of large numbers of vehicles.

He attended luncheon hosted by JUI leader Sardar Najeeb Sanjrani. People of the area congratulated him on his election as Senate chairman.

He said there was no situation of no-trust. Constitution also does not allow it for six months. He was of the view that it was our efforts from day one that the chairman should be from Balochistan. He said the government could not provide employment to the people. He said we should promote industry so that maximum number of employment could be created. ‘Whether it is CPEC or another project we should fully support it as it would also have maximum employment opportunities.

Answering a question Sadiq Sanjrani said that Reko Diq case was in international court and saying something would be premature.
