DUBAI: The skipper of Islamabad United Misbah-ul-Haq has been forced out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018 final in Karachi owing to his hand injury.
Misbah, who also missed the PSL Qualifier in Dubai, is suffering from a hairline fracture on his wrist.
The makeshift skipper for Islamabad JP Duminy will be leading the side in the PSL final scheduled on March 25. Misbah will be replaced by young batsman Sahibzada Farhan.
In the first two games of Islamabad, Rumman Raees had led to side owing to Misbah’s absence caused by a hamstring injury. But Raees was ruled out of the edition due to his own knee injury.
Islamabad has already qualified for the PSL final. The second finalist will be the winner of the second eliminator in Lahore.
