LAHORE: As many as 3,500 unsold tickets for the eliminators of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Lahore were returned to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), a source within the ticket distributors told a media outlet on Monday.
While the tickets worth Rs 1,000 and 2,000 were entirely sold, over 3,000 tickets of the PSL matches in Lahore remained unsold. These tickets worth Rs 4,000 and Rs 6,000 were returned to the PCB.
Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium can host up to 27,000 spectators. The tickets for the PSL eliminators were available from late last month, however, around 3,500 passes remained unsold despite the passage of 20 days.
Tickets to the PSL final in Karachi went on sale during March 15 and were reportedly sold out within 15 hours.
Sources within PCB told media that Alan Wilkins, Ramiz Raja, Bazid Khan, Dareen Ganga and Michael Slater will be the commentators during the PSL matches in Pakistan.
Islamabad United has already qualified for the PSL final. The second finalist will be the winner of the second eliminator in Lahore.
