ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defense Khurram Dastgir Khan has said respect of vote would be part of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) manifesto in the next general elections 2018.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the PML-N would win general elections due to its five years performance and people were supporting the narrative of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.
The minister said when PML-N came into power in 2013 the country was facing different challenges, including terrorism, energy shortfall, poor economy and worst condition of law and order all over the country, but due to hectic efforts of the government, the situation changed.
Replying to a question, he said the PML-N has always respected the national institutions, including the judiciary, and implemented all of its decisions.
He further said the Senate elections being held on time itself were a victory for the government. However, commenting on the outcome of the polls, he said Balochistan was an easy target for the opponents of PML-N and added that anti-democratic forces [have] always prevailed in the country.
