LAHORE: The Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) on Saturday launched academic sessions titled “Meet the Expert” at Lahore Fort.
The first session was on the Conservation of 17th Century Royal Kitchen inside the fort. Almost 200 students from top universities of Pakistan participated in the session along with professional architects and related faculties.
The session explained techniques, stages and process of the site’s conservation. The participants were also given a detailed tour of the site.
Students attending the session said that they found it a great opportunity to learn about the conservation of heritage sites. “It is a good initiative of the WCLA to let the students see the ongoing conservation works along with a discussion on them,” they said.
