KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Friday claimed to have arrested 19 alleged criminals including four Lyari gang war members during targeted operations in different parts of the metropolis.
According to Rangers’ spokesman, the paramilitary forces carried out a targeted raid in Edigah, Mithadar and Shahrah-e-Faisal areas and arrested four Lyari gang war members.
Separately, Rangers conducted raids in Kharadar and Eidgah areas and apprehended two workers of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement-London. The arrested accused were said to be involved in target killings, extortion, drug peddling and other crimes.
Meanwhile, during search operations in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Kharadar, Jamshed Quarters, Clifton, Mehmoodabad and Bahdurabad areas, the paramilitary forces detained 11 street criminals and two drug peddlers. The Rangers also recovered weapons, bullets, motorcycles, cell phones and drugs from their possession.
