MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Thursday said that Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched the metro bus to make money.
“People need hospitals, clean water and good universities,” Imran said, adding that making the metro bus in Multan was akin to giving a motorcycle to a patient who is lying in hospital and needs medicines. “You are a big fraud Shehbaz,” he stated.
The PTI chief said this while addressing party supporters at Double Phatak Chowk area of Multan, which he is touring as part of the party’s membership campaign. He said that the PTI is on its way to do politics of the 21st century.
“We have chucked out your brother now it is your turn,” Imran said, referring to the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif as prime minister.
Imran went on to say that the long, dark night will end after the general elections are held this summer. The PTI chairman was referring to the 30-year-rule of the Sharifs.
Imran will examine the PTI membership drive for which the camps have been established at 22 different points, including Nawa Shehar, Double Phatak, SP Chowk, Tank Chowk and Qadirpur Ran, across the city.
Imran Khan is visiting the cities across Punjab as PTI started its membership drive. Imran on Wednesday visited Pind Dadan Khan, Lila, and Khewra in District Jhelum.
