Outgoing Air Chief Sohail Aman pays farewell call on president

ISLAMABAD: Outgoing Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman paid a farewell call on President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad at the President House on Thursday.

President Mamnoon lauded the services of Air Chief Marshal Aman and said his professional contribution led to several important achievements of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

The president wished Air Chief Marshal Aman best for his future endeavours.

Air Chief Marshal Aman also paid a farewell call on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday and discussed with him matters of mutual interest, including professional matters pertaining to Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

The CM paid tribute to the services of Air Chief Marshal Aman for air defence of the country and expertise in professional skills pertaining to PAF.

Shehbaz also expressed best wishes for the PAF chief and said that he had performed best services for the nation and the country. Air Chief Marshal Aman had performed his duties diligently to enhance the organisational capabilities of PAF and his services would be remembered for a long time, he added.

The CM further said that PAF was one of the best air force in the world and its officers and personnel had rendered invaluable sacrifices for maintaining peace in the country and had written a new history in the war against terrorism. The nation felt proud over the bravery and valor of PAF, he added.
