MULTAN: Veteran politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi on Tuesday complained that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership did not use to “consult him on important matters”.
Addressing a press conference, he also said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had joined hands long time back during the sit-in protest, and added that the old alliance had “now been badly exposed”.
He predicted that the matter of the caretaker government would also go to the apex court as the country’s political parties would not unite over the caretaker step-up.
Replying to a question, Hashmi said, “The protest movements would definitely gain momentum if former premier Nawaz Sharif is sentenced to jail.”
