KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement- Pakistan (MQM-P), PIB Group was not permitted to celebrate its Foundation Day on March 18 at the Jinnah Ground here on Tuesday.
The MQM-P had announced a public gathering at the ground as part of the party’s Foundation Day celebrations.
An application seeking approval for the event was sent to the central deputy commissioner in this regard which he rejected citing that the venue is meant for sporting and healthcare events.
“A hospital and a mosque are also located close to Jinnah Ground,” stated DC Central, pointing towards the problems a crowd could cause there.
