During the post-match press talk, Kings coach Mickey Arthur informed that Imad “will stay in for observation” and he had remained in the hospital “to have a CT scan”. Arthur reiterated that Imad seemed alright.
He joked, “It’s probably just knocked some sense into him actually. That’s a joke! I don’t want it to appear on the front pages of all the newspapers.”
It was announced that the 29-year-old all-rounder had a mild concussion but his vitals were fine.
Brendon McCullum-led Qalandars won the fierce battle in the super over encounter, causing an upset to the steady Kings’ ship. The Kings coach admitted that his team made a lot of ‘schoolboy errors’, and stressed to assess the performance.
He backed premier pacer Usman Khan Shinwari, saying, “the poor guy is devastated in the changing room but he will learn from that experience.”
“As long as young Pakistani players are developing, I am really happy.”
