Six killed, four injured in Faisalabad road accidents

FAISALABAD: Six persons were killed while 4 others sustained multiple injuries in different road accidents in Faisalabad and outskirts within the past 24 hours.

The police on Monday said that a rashly driven car hit a motorcycle on the Jhang Road near Chinchal Singh Wala. As a result, two brothers, Sajjad and Kashif – 32 and 25 years of age respectively – riding the bike received serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital where Sajjad breathed his last.

In another accident, an aged woman Mukhtaran Bibi, wife of Safdar, was killed when a recklessly driven motorcycle hit her on Jhang Road near Adda Sadhar, while 60-year-old Riaz, a resident of Shalimar Park was killed when a mini loader knocked him down while crossing a road near Mandi Morh.

Meanwhile, a recklessly driven dumper hit and killed a motorcyclist, 22-year-old Safdar Ali of Chak 357-GB Jaranwala. And 26-year-old Imran of Chak 497-GB died on the spot after he slipped from his vehicle near Zafar Chowk.

Similarly, 48-year-old Maqbool, a resident of Chak 253-RB was injured after his motorcycle collided with another bike on Sammundri Road. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he breathed his last.

Moreover, a bus turned turtle after colliding with a tractor-trolley loaded with sugarcane on Bachiana Road Jaranwala, injuring three passengers. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
