MMA meeting ends without consensus on appointing Fazl as president

The meeting of a Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) ended without consensus on appointing Maulana Fazlur Rehman as president.
The meeting which was held at the residence of Fazlur Rehman was ended without any result. The meeting was attended by Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Sajid Naqvi, Sirajul Haq, Sajid Mir and Owais Noorani. When MMA, the joint alliance of religious parties, was broken, late Qazi Hussain Ahmed was ameer of the party.
Monday’s meeting was summoned to elect president and electoral symbol of MMA but it was ended without any result. It is vital to mention that JI Ameer Sirajul Haq asked Maulana Fazlur Rehman to quit federal government and also quit alliance with PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Fazlur Rehman delayed the MMA meeting until Senate elections for seeking seat of deputy chairman in the Upper House.
