PML-N serves legal notice to Ayesha Gulalai

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders have served former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ayesha Gulalai a legal notice of damages.

The PML-N leaders have asked Gulalai to come out with the name of the person who offered her a ticket to contest the Senate election. They also asked her to name their aide who made her give statements against the military.

They stated that Gulalai damaged the PML-N’s reputation with her repeated accusations against the party.

PML-N leaders have demanded Rs. 10 million in damages from the former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader.

On February 16, Gulalai had claimed that the PML-N had offered her a Senate ticket on the condition that she started criticising the state institutions.

She had claimed that she would disclose the name of the PML-N member who made the offer at a later date.

“Nawaz is more dangerous than Imran,” she added.

Last week, during the Senate elections, Gulalai had accused PML-N of having issued tickets for Senate elections to lawmakers who were criticizing the judiciary following an order of the top court that disqualified Nawaz Sharif as PML-N head.

Gulalai had alleged PML-N leader Mushahidullah Khan of making efforts to please his boss at expense of his ministerial responsibilities.
