MQM-P MPA Heer Soho joins PPP, confesses voting for PPP in Senate elections

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) MPA Heer Soho on Thursday formally announced to join the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). The announcement came at a press conference along with PPP leaders Nisar Ahmed Khuhro and Faryal Talpur within the Sindh Assembly building.

Heer said that she was dejected after grouping in her former party. She alleged her former party was not treating women with respect. She also claimed that she gave her vote to PPP candidates in recent Senate elections.

She said that more than 14 MQM-P members are blamed for horse-trading but the names of only five female members are highlighted. If the MQM-P did not stop such allegations, she said would disclose many secrets of MQM-P.

She further said that she will resign from her former party and work for the PPP as a party worker. On this occasion, PPP leaders welcomed her.
