KARACHI: A three-member Supreme Court bench, headed by Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, on Thursday declared the health secretary report as unsatisfactory as the reasons which had identified in the report for sudden deaths of children were “not specific”.

The court had established a three-member bench on the issue of the deaths of children in Mathi. The bench had ordered the Sindh government to identify the causes of recent deaths of children in Mathi and ordered to appoint a committee for identifying the real causes.

As the first report was presented before the court, it declared the committee did not hold anyone responsible for deaths, as it given 15 days to the secretary to submit another report.
