ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Shariah academy consisting of session judges, civil judges, prosecutors, officers of law division, the ministry of law and justice along with coordinator Asghar Shahzad, visited the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) on Wednesday.
CII Secretary Dr Ikramul Haq briefed the delegation about the constitutional status, functioning and performance of the CII. The participants attended the briefing with keen interest and put useful questions.
The session of briefing and questions converted the event into a healthy discussion. While giving concluding remarks, the members of the delegation expressed their impressions about the CII.
The delegation was of the view that they had never thought that the CII was doing such a wonderful work. Efforts of research section, IT section, and administration were highly appreciated.
They wonderfully watched the presentation about searchable library project comprising of the recommendations of the CII.
The delegation while appreciating the efforts of the council desired that efforts for legislation in the light of the recommendations of the council must be accelerated and should also be made so easy and widespread in such a way that a maximum number of people may reap the benefit.
