GILGIT: Gilgit Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) on Tuesday approved four resolutions unanimously.
In the first resolution, the house demanded to increase flights to Gilgit-Baltistan from Islamabad, besides reduction in ticket fare and declaring Skardu Airport as the international airport.
In the second resolution, the house demanded pre-budget session to discuss matters pertaining to the development projects. The speaker referred the resolution to the law minister and finance minister and directed them to arrange session before presenting the budget.
In the third resolution, the assembly demanded the federal government to release the annual development programme and public sector development programme funds to complete ongoing projects well in time.
It was presented by Jaffarullh khan, who informed the house that 35 per cent of the budget for both the programmes had been released so far.
In another resolution, the assembly demanded to regularise the service of work charge employees in Ghanchay. The assembly also emphasised to regularise the service of doctors serving in GB.
