Police use teargas, water cannons on APCA activists

KARACHI: Karachi police used teargas and water cannons on activists of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) on Monday outside Karachi Press Club to disperse them who attempted to proceed towards Chief Minister House for the acceptance of their demands.

A woman protester was injured in the police action. Police officials along with a large contingent tried to disperse the protesters.

APCA has been protesting for the past two months. Their demands include promotions, sons’ quota and other facilities.  The police arrested over 50 protesters including APCA Sindh President Murad Ali Chachar.
