The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said here Monday that dialogue among the Syrian political groups is the requirement for the peace in the Arab State.
In the meantime, measures should be adopted to halt the arms supply to the opposition groups and terrorists which is necessary to restore security and stability in Syria, Shamkhani made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian.
He also criticized what he called the West’s ignorance of Saudi-led military raid against Yemen and West’s double-standard policy over the humanitarian crisis in the Arab state.
French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday urged Iran to put “necessary pressure” on the Syrian government to halt military actions in the rebel-held enclave of Eastern Ghouta.
Macron made his remarks during a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rohani.
Macron said France expected “a constructive contribution by Iran to regional de-escalation and the resolution of crises in the Middle East,” said the statement.

  1. A fool does the same as does the wise but the fool does it after incurring good many losses is a saying in Persian. No one among the Iran leadership has proved himself to be a wise person.
What they are proposing now, the Iranians should have proposed in the beginning. They should have persuaded Dr. Assad to way to avoid violence at all the cost and instead used diplomacy.
What is so surprising to see is that the same Iranians who raised the slogan “Merg ber Shah Jullaad” came out to help make a Syrian Jullaad.
Throughout the ages Lord Almighty gave mankind recipe to live in peace yet the mankind has been rebellious of the way shown by the Lord with the consequence all in front of our eyes.
