LAHORE: Pakistan’s favourite music duo Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia are all ready to celebrate 30 years of their iconic pop-rock band Strings with the release of eight new singles. The talented artists have five studio albums, four seasons of Coke Studio, a plethora of anthems, multiple international film soundtracks and accolades to their credit.
Strings released a short teaser of one of their upcoming singles and has everyone excited to see what the band now has in store for us.
The band has been on the music scene since the late 80s and is one of the most popular bands South Asia has to offer. The band has won several accolades including the MTV Asia’s Favourite Artist India award, which they won in 2005.
The original Strings band consisted of four members and they released their first album titled Strings in 1990. However, the band disbanded after the release of their second album 2 in 1992 after which they went on an eight-year long hiatus, returning in 2000 with the release of their third studio album, Duur.
Since then, Strings has given the people of Pakistan, in fact all across the world music which is cherished to date. The band is one of the most popular especially among those who grew up in the 2000s. Apart from that, the duo also gave the music industry four seasons of Coke Studio which had beautiful songs by artists from across the country.
